Apart from the use of Debian as the o/s for the routers in the net, this
thread has no content whatsoever about the use of Linux. That makes it
unacceptably OFF TOPIC.
Further, it amazes me that no one has commented on the debian side of
things...
If amazes me that no one's considered the benefits to the growth of
linux to push a bunch of linux servers in to the a local community and
educate them about the value of what the global GNU/Linux community has
done for them...
This week I've been reading a really good book called "Free As In
Freedom - Richard Stallman's Crusade For Free Software" by Sam Williams.
I'm astounded, given the view you know I hold towards pushing FLOSS,
FOSS and GNU in to the market place, that you're going on about Telstra
who clearly don't give a toss about the issue in NZ (unlike their
position in Australia).
I get the impression that you're happy on your Telstra Clear service and
don't give a toss if there are others in the city who Telstra Clear, and
any other providers don't care about.
Perhaps I should just give up piss arsing about with grand ideas to do
something good for anyone else and just waste petrol driving over to my
clients house to show them the work we produce for them.
Cheers Don
