Hi,
Has anyone here used instructables.com for publishing any of their own
homegrown projects?
No, I hadn't see this site. Thank you very much Andrew! :)
There are a lot of things I am tinkering with, and I really want to put
details up on a web page, but it's a lot of effort, plus I only get a weeny
amount of webspace from my ISP. Instructables seems to make it easy, but I
wondered if anyone else had had a go, and whether there were any negative
ramifications anyone could alert me to. It's either that or Flickr...
Any one who has ideas but is limited by ISP web space should contact me.
I am always happy to find ways to get your content online. I have a
growing number of paid sites and a very dedicated hosting company who
are always willing to go the extra mile for a dedicated Linux hobist or
NFTMP (Not for To Much Profit) entity - pizza aint free.
Obligatory Linux content- I will put up details of my lounge MP3 player
(built and working and runs Linux) and my LCD picture frame (a collection
of parts that will run Linux) for you all to see what I did.
Andrew this has been done before by others, I personally can't see any
reason why you shouldn't publish your experience.
From experience, the more often people see something repeated the more
inspired they are to have a go at it them selves!
I would also like to talk to you about giving a presentation of your
efforts to our growing Linux Education Session group. I think they
would be very interested to see what you've done!
Cheers Don
