Yes, but you get nonsense like that everywhere, and really, technology 
exists to filter out what you aren't interested in.

I don't care about the crap- there are some interesting and inspiring ideas 
there as well.  I read the T&Cs until my brain melted and dribbled out of 
my ear, but it seems okay (IANAL).  Basically you retain all the rights to 
what you upload to the site, you grant them unlimited terms to republish 
(or else they couldn't display your stuff on their site) and also, when you 
enter a project you get to select the license you want to publish it under. 
 There's a drop down list of about a dozen including GPL, LGPL, Public 
Domain and so on (I have no idea which to choose).

I have registered, and I'll have a go at putting up a robotics project 
later to see what's involved.
