Well for now we dont have to worry about it as I got so frustrated with the other machine and all the errors, I couldnt even get the darn thing to boot b4 so I decided I wanted to see how well PCBSD runs on my next machine up ie my Celeron 466. I am now writing this to you via kmail under PCBSD :-) Success at last! Installed first pop and immedialty found the network card in this machine (different more modern card) I had trouble with xp recognising the NE 2000 a while back and replaced it in this machine. Once installed I was able to connect straight away to the Internet without having to configure anything. Configuring kmail took a few mins, but I am blowed if I can find the setting that lets me leave mail on server until I delete the message. Now I have this up and running I am very pleased with PCBSD. I will be able to start reccomending it to others soon :-) My rationale being : "Becasue if Reg can install it anyone can :-)" Regards Reg
