I hope this is not too off topic. (If it is can someone please point me to a
good place to find answers for my below questions) ----- I have been
browsing the web for ages and can't find my answers.

PC-BSD continues to run fine on my Celeron 466. I am still in awe of its
stability. Just for kicks I thought I would install Vmware Player and then
the PC-BSD version that runs under that on my newest fast computer,) All
works fine and of course runs like a rocket compared to my older machine.

My first question: Can you easily switch between whatever you are running
under Vmware player and XP.

My second question: Is there likely to be any performance difference between
running PC-BSD in VMware Player under XP and say just doing a regular dual
boot system of PC-BSD and XP?

I am reluctant to do the latter as I hate rebooting all the time and often
dare I say it still need to be in XP sometimes. I like the idea of having
the best of both worlds and being able to alt-tab between two operating
systems, but having tried that command and many more to no avail I am
wondering if in fact what I am trying to do is impossible.
