Yes, the audiocd:/ IO slave is pretty cool. As an aside, I encode my discs to flac as then I have a high quality lossless copy of the original and can put the discs away in the cupboard and not think about them again (it's a bit of a waste of plastic really). If you have a portable player (I don't) then it's not hard to mirror a directory of compressed ogg/mp3 files for copying to the drive. Amarok's support for portable players has gotten a lot better in the last few releases, the first time I plugged in my external HDD after I upgraded it asked me if I wanted to use it with Amarok, I didn't and it didn't ask me again. hads -- http://nicegear.co.nz New Zealand's VoIP supplier
