I have never used scribus. I have used LaTeX in the past to create employment contracts[1] and was very impressed with the style and consistent layout produced when compared to a WYSIWYG word processor. What I have produced so far shows potential but really needs some knocking into shape. The learning curve with LaTeX is pretty steep, but when you get it right the results are rather impressive. Cheers Ross Drummond [1] My 'shut up and do as you are told' clause is a wonder.
