Older versions of I.E. used to honour the download links for fonts etc
if it was there, although that was one of the major security flaws so I
suspect that it no longer works... The firefox/mozilla folks would also
have to have logs for brains to allow download of a binary file without
interaction with the user..
As Craig suggested, stick the bits you want in that font in an image...
