The Australian base Macbook price is AU$1749- RRP inc 10% GST or at today's exchange rate ~NZ$1994- 

The Australian street price is between AU$1600-1700 inc GST (especially good deals if you get 2 Gig RAM at the same time)

The price on the Renaissance web site (apple.co.nz) is NZ$2349- inc 12.5 % GST

Apple Australia is part of Apple worldwide. Renaissance is the exclusive NZ distributor of Apple products.

That's a NZ $350 difference!?! wtf?? oh, I see, it's just a bit less than the cost of a return airfare across the ditch.... hmmm....
