Quick googling gives: http://www.4front-tech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3371&sid=b229ad8b5e367031a4a3463916cfdbdd http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=69076 http://suseforums.net/lofiversion/index.php/t24364.html http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/showproduct.php/product/3210/sort/2 Bottom line seems to be (as I mentioned before): avoid nforce 430. The third link might have a solution for you, but don't hold your breath. Look on trademe for a sound card... or try installing nvidia's binary-only mobo driver (which isn't the same as the binary-only graphics driver).
