I have downloaded 5.1.8 (had been using 5.1.5). This has an updated version of config= that uses a file (for some reason a fixed size file - they provide 128Mb - 1024Mb versions to use) so am trying that.
Of course as soon as they fix one thing, something else breaks. Now I can't get x to give a proper screen resolution and it's not loading the module for my wireless usb! I'm trying another clean 'make' of the usb stick to track down these issues. Then I can get back to the original issues! Yeah, until the issues are sorted, there's not much to put on the wiki! I have Slax 5.1.7.6 standard edition, email me offlist if you would like a copy posted, no charge. are you using 'slaxconfig /mnt/path-to-save-file/slaxconf.mo' at the prompt? they admitt there are problems but go on to say that if you use the 'changes=device' parameter at boot time it will work. always useful to put pointers about anything on the wiki although I recommend you wait untill you find the solution to using slaxconfig before doing so.
