There is a speed controller in the settings dialogue box. Settings -> Configure Ktorrent -> Maximum download rate Be aware that the download rate is very dependent on the upload rate you set. The later versions of the bittorrent system compel the 'share and share alike' motto. It's also quite possible that your ISP shapes - euphemism for 'throttles' - your bittorrent download speed. Also note that if you are behind a firewall / NAT box you have to open and forward the port you have chosen in the dialogue box to your machine. HTH -- CS
