primarily you wait until mandriva supply a binary via their update system..
But if you want to persist in going outside their system...

source or binary? Ususlly there is a .bin file in the binary tarball that
you run, as far as I know. What was the filename you downloaded?

Well if you think you are going to replace one binary and make it work you
are mad. There is an installer (see above).
