Apple Airport Extreme base stations come in various flavours (from
oldest to newest):

   1. 802.11b with Ethernet hole and dial-up modem
   2. 802.11g with Eth, dial-up, and *print server*
   3. 802.11g with Eth, and print server
   4. 802.11n with Eth, print server or file server (plug in a USB
      hard-drive)

My father is using the 802.11b variant successfully on their farm, but
it ain't trying to dial up over a radio link! Good luck.

On TradeMe, the b variant gets about $130-150, and the g variant
(without the modem) is getting about $220. Variants with the modem come
up less commonly. The n variant is about US$180 on froogle, but expect
to be bled dry in Kiwi Land.
