XFdrake re-run and monitor specs updated/fixed but x-server still won't start. (toyota!) I've also disabled APCI from being enabled by lilo at boot but still won't start X Definitely needs a local guru - I don't think my toll bill can handle a lot of calls to areacode 03 :-) Cheers John
