That sounds nice ... I'll just clarify for everyone else that there are no wires between the house and the garage; and the computers that are in there don't have serial ports, just UTP and USB. So it's not beyond the realms of possibility that I could hack up something based on that, but the Arlec sounds interesting ... -jim
