I am running etch on my home server. Uptime has only been a few months, and the issue causing shutdown was ironicly setting up the newly scavenged UPS unit. It required a 32amp supply, which meant shutting down the house for a while :)
It functions as a file server, webserver (running a custom written chatroom for the pressF1 community) and is the gateway/firewall between my LAN and the big bad world. However, when i tried to run etch on my workstation, affectionately known as "POS", it fell over laughing, a lot :( I am yet to hear of anyone else having real issues with etch tho, and when i scavenge a better machine than POS, i will have no qualms trying etch before any other system.
