Install the flash player shipped by SUSE (as I said, that's part of a default install anyway) and you're all go. I installed nothing for the following tests: konqueror: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ shows nothing under shockwave player. Under flahs player it shows a box "play me", clicking on it shows nothing (according to firefox that's expected behaviour). Under authorware, it shows a link to test the installation. Make sure you have javascript fully enabled or adobe does nothing for you. formula1.com shows "requires flash plugin" because their javascript-flash-test doesn't work properly. firefox: shockwave player heading: link to install this. Clicking on the link and then clicking on system requirements shows nothing for Linux. Pretty damn typical for Adobe. Dito for authorware. Well up theirs (as usual IMHO). The flash player area is empty, presumably because the empty movie has already run. formula1.com plays a long obnoxious piece of shite where konqueror says "needs flash". I like konqueror. If you need to go online, it's in the nonfree addons repository. Remember to run online-update to install the latest version with security fix. Actually looking at your question again it seems you have it working on 64bit but not on 32bit. The formula1 flash rubbish comes up in firefox on a 32bit box for me too. It also was a standard suse install, it has flash-player-9.0.31.0-1.1 too. Did you mess up your system somehow?
