I have a new install of kubuntu feisty and have lost access to sudo. It appears to be related to entries in the /etc/sudoers file that has been modified by smb4k (while attempting to configure the latter). Any attempt to run a programme like adept or automatix returns "su returned with an error".
and the following: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo kate /etc/sudoers >>> sudoers file: syntax error, line 23 <<< >>> sudoers file: syntax error, line 30 <<< >>> sudoers file: Alias `SMB4KUSERS' already defined, line 35 <<< sudo: parse error in /etc/sudoers near line 23 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ this makes me pretty much stuck? i'm thinking a reinstall as this install is only a few hours old (here I go again!). but just in case anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know... a few references in google to this and a bug report here: http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg248358.html Roger
