I think there should be a standard email response (available on the website) and a prize for the first person to reply with the standard response. Say a chocolate fish, awarded at the next meeting, covered either by the gold coin donations or as an extra.
Suddenly, instead of these messages resulting in a slamming match and the same old ground covered again, they are met with joy and a flurry of helpful activity!
