I've had my elderly mum using PCLinuxOS 0.93 for about a year on very
old hardware.
She preferred the look of it too Ubuntu Dapper, and had no problems with
it (prev. Win98 user) but I suspect that's more to do with it being KDE
based
It has been very reliable etc. but I'm not so keen on .rpm distros being
a Ubuntu/Debian fan so I haven't been doing many updates (& she on slow
dialup)
It's a bit out of date now but has been rock solid
