Tried that - maybe I was not patient enough but nothing seemed to happen.
This time I am going against my better judgement and changing more than one
thing at a time:-
Created a virtual IDE drive (not SCSI)
Text based installation
Manually partitioned
Up to 25% as I type.
I was being facetious - but you bring out a good point. I have had
trouble with scsi emulated drives on vmware - could be a similar
problem. Its so long ago now I can't remember the exact fault.
