Yes it does seem very similar, odd thing is that it has only been a problem since I did a re-install of 6.06. Before that it worked without this issue - I have also have had issues getting cups working properly on this install - I might leave that one till the next clug meeting as it's not overlly important at the moment I did have a play around last night and it appears I fixed the numlock issue on my laptop - The keyboard setting was set on an Acer Laptop Keyboard and I changed it to a Default Laptop Keyboard which seems to do the trick, although it's made the touchpad very sensitive Thanks, Kerry
