Just because I grumble about a couple of config errors doesn't mean I don't appreciate the work involved. If you don't like the way it looks, why not work on customizing it so you do? It's open source, so you've got the options of fixing the code as well. What makes Joomla so wonderful, or drupal, mambo, wordpress, ... of those, only wordpress can actually publish valid html for their own homepage!
