I seem to remember that there was a conversation some months ago in which you expressed the opinion that you wanted to replace the wiki software. I now cannot remember the ins and outs, and iirc the conversation just fizzelled out inconclusively. I feel that compared to some of the more modern systems the one we are currently using is visually 'clunky', and somewhat difficult to use. I just saw this little advert for what looked like a more visually pleasing wiki and merely wondered if it would be any good for our purposes. > From my end, I would like something that isn't PHP or using MySQL -- > because the rate of change doesn't require a full db -- sqlite or flat > files would be appropriate -- and it's rapidly becoming the only PHP > site on the server, and therefore bloating apache. Remember that if the blog, wiki, CMS, whatever was easier to use it might well get a lot more use than the current system. > In fact, I'd be happy moving off apache entirely :-) I'll second that. > And it should be security tracked for easy updates, one way or another. > > From a user perspective, however ... you all might like a slightly > different feature set :-) I think I might download it and see how easy it is to install and how well it works. -- Sincerely etc. Christopher Sawtell
