Also try Peter Nordahl's Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, Bootdisk / CD

I have had much luck with it on w2k and xp for resetting forgotten windows
admin passwords.

like when i recently locked my son and myself out of the home computer in
an effort to restrict his usage. set his password to a random string, and
reset mine to something I promptly forgot!

It won't crack your password but it will reset it to an empty string. log
in and then set it to something you remember!
