I have a programme that can be put into cron or at and which turns on national radio. It is perl and uses Net::Telnet to communicate with the mythmachine. > Program guide - can you record live shows program guide is functional, check. not sure what you mean by "live shows" > Integration with BT - is there meta data set up to share your content over > BT with other people and get content? do you mean share the stuff i have recorded over from the freeview satellite with others? I would not demo that as it is quite probably illegal, but once you have tv in a digital format on your hard drive you can use your imagination. There is and never will be an automatic functionality of this sort in mythtv as it is not the developers' intention to make a machine for the purposes of distributing copyrighted material beyond the immediate users' home environment. having said that you can run arbitrary scripts after any recording, which could conceivably strip the adverts, transcode to something smaller and start a bittorrent sharing session. Most people who do that sort of thing prefer to have a bit of interactivity. If you want to download material (and there is plenty of legit bittorrentable material out there) then there is nothing to stop you running a bt client and downloading into your video directory. In fact some myth distros have miro built in.
