Thanks for the link. Nick asked what people were interested in. I just happened to notice the growing number of acronyms and thought I'd drop the comment in.

As for TVNZ... I know that you can now see TVNZ on freeview along with a few other ppl. What I don't know is who owns freeview, how did it come about? It's also only in the last week that I've heard you can get freeview without a stat dish. Is that all the channels or just a subset like happened with Sky?

Where does CamWest fit in to the picture? How does TVNZ fit in?

Sure, some of this really is OT for Linux/Myth, but again, Nick was asking what people were interested in and objecting to our scilience.

Nick how would you feel if I brought my video camera along to tape the presentation?

Cheers Don

DVB-T, TVNZ, CanWest, DVB-S. In your intro do you want to cover out the
terms and players?
I'm sure that Nick doesn't *want* to have to explain who TVNZ is, in
the context of television broadcasting in New Zealand.

On the other hand, saying something like "Can you tell us the meanings
of the common acronyms in the MythTV world, during your talk" might be
more likely to get a positive response.

Well said. And if Don cannot wait that long he can always do some research.

is an OK place to start.
