I've just upgraded my old Tosh lappie to Ubuntu HH. After leaving it to it's own devices for a while, it looks like the screensaver ( or some other kind of power management ) has kicked in, and the screen is blank. And is obstinately staying that way, no matter what I do. If I press the power button, I'm rewarded by a flash of disk activity, but that's as far as it goes! Any idea how to bring it back to life, other than holding the power button in for 5 seconds to crash it???Cheers, Steve
sounds like it's gone in to suspend and doesn't come out, I have the
same problem with the fglrx Proprietary ATI drivers
first test suspend if it happens again you mite have to disable suspend
in ubuntu and/or BIOS or find what's making it crash
