Try reading your skype EULA. They own your internet connection and your CPU.


SIP is far more complex than what Skype do. Read Chris Hellyar's comment on
the carrier grade services available via SIP (separation of signalling and
payload, etc). SIP wasn't really designed for NATed systems, it was designed
for direct connection to the internet. Roll on ipv6 :-)
