I did spot a mistake I made though...

What does that line do? Does anyone know? I commented it out by
mistake and was having problems getting the IP to set correctly.
Regarding a package manager, I like synaptic.
Ya, I've used that before as well.
I like apt when I know what I'm looking for. The GUI tool is really
useful when I want to know what stuff is though.
