Yes, you do need to install on one master machine first.

At the end of the install there is an option to record the packages
installed on external media which you can use for other installs.

However, this is only useful if you take the time and effort to select the
packages you want individually via the 'Custom Install' option - I warn
you, this is a very time-consuming process.
