I got a slightly garbled note from our friend that "ftb.citylink.co.nz was taken off and now the updates work." (They were assisted by a computer service person in a village neighbouring theirs. I understand the serviceman has some familiarity with Linux.) I shall file that advice re "sudo apt-get clean all". May come in handy in future. Thank you. =====Andrew
