1. Setting up shared resources, and allowing access. Personally, I'd: - create a new group, and add those users who you wish to have write access to into it. - add the users ( groupadd, directly update /etc/group or wome graphic interface I don't know about ) - update the global UMASK to 0002 to allow group write access ( in /etc/profile ) 2. Making a shortcut. - hardcore, use symbolic links in the user's root ( ln -s /home/Photos etc ) - creating bookmarks in 'Places' The former will probably work bbetter out of the box for defaults on autostarted software ( f-spot, etc ), although configuration would be trivial. Thinking about it, it may well be an idea to have user folders under 'Photos', especially if you've got more than 1 camera and the chance of duplicate file names. Just thinking out loud...
