Again I have found the problem here that I was having. I had seen on a ./configure --help that one flag I could use was --enable-cups, included it almost the same as your ./configure flags. However i used your cfgopts included --enable-cups and it bombed out. Took out --enable-cups and allwent well with kdeedu and kdegraphics etc thereafter, of course no idea why that should cause a problem. I am using cups for printing! Now its only Multimedia thats a problem, along with the bad tarballs foe sdk and pim which I can live without. Multimedia is one that I was VERY intetrested in so thats a bit of a pain, otherwise alls well; Er! I hope, still cannot get kde3 to startup yet. I cannot find where its writing a mesg file to so as I can see whats wrong, of course I might have seen it and not recognised it for what it is. -- Keith Antoine (GANDALF) aka 'skippy' 18 Arkana St, The Gap, Queensland 4061 Australia PH:61733002161 Retired Geriatric, Sometime Electronics Engineer, Knowall, Brain in storage _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
