Been running Mandrake since the Caldera Crash. Much as I hate to admit it the French have done a bang up job. I have a quad boot box with both Mandrake 8.0 SuSe 7.2 running. For most day-to-day work I used the Mandrake. SuSe, I use when I fool around with all the extra goodies they bundled into the distro, like games and burners. Stability wise Mandrake seems to be rock solid, like the old Caldera 2.2 version I had a fondness for. The only thing unstable with it is that every few months it crunches the Opera browser, but the thing is so loaded with browsers that I usually don't miss it. Installation was a snap as the Mandrake found just about everything I had hanging on the box, even the zip drive. > > > > Debian - ? > > No idea with Debian but way bsck when I started, Uh maybe 94, debian was one > that was always long way behind, stable but!
