The zealots don't bother me, I just ignore them. Easily done, I had lots of practice from ignoring a former roommates annoying girlfriend. I guess the best thing about them is apt. Now that is a package management system. No dependencies problems. A great irony is, I tried to get apt on one of my rpm based distros using apt4rpm, and I gave up chasing down all the dependency problems.
