Are you using ALSA for all sound stuff? If not, you could simply disable it (at compile time) for Xine.
What format did you install ALSA-0.5.12a (tgz, RPM)? You can prolly just compile, and then install, but you should make sure that its going to install the newer version in the same directory structure as the old. edj wrote: > I have ALSA 0.5.12a installed.
