Sorry, I'll try again. I have a Dell Pentium 4.I've partitioned it with Windows XP as boot partition. I tried to install COL e-desktop 2.4 with floppies and I got message it couldn't install on this machine. I attempted to install using CD at boot time several times. At end of install when you insert the new diskette for Rescue Disk error window comes on: - LIZARD<2> X ! Could not copy kernel to floppy.
[O.K.] I clicked OK Then I clicked finish Then error note at top of black page: Kernel Panic: No init found. Try passing init=option to kernel. I tried left Alt-F2 & F3 to type anything that might work but it didn't accept any typing. I did Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get out and re installed several times but always the same errors. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Zoki" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, July 14, 2002 7:14 PM Subject: RE: installation > *** Listen Herb, > > either get off your horse and be more verbose (less complaints and more info > that can get us started with helping you out) or do it your self. > > I repeat the question several list members posed: What are the error > messages you get and at which point do you get stuck?
