yup. open it in the graphics app in staroffice and using the color selector pick transparent, then flood the area you want clear with that "color." (i spent a long time trying to do this to create a transparent image the size of my desktop, in an effort to cook up a way to have xscreensavers run *beneath* the desktop, producing a constantly changing desktop image. never got it to work, but i still think it's a good idea. probably should have asked raster when i interviewed him -- *he'd* know how to do it, as well as something even cooler.) -- dep http://www.linuxandmain.com -- outside the box, barely within the envelope, and no animated paperclip anywhere. _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe/Suspend/Etc -> http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
