Indeed. And we won't even get into performance issues. I think its just a tad hypocritical of someone to be preaching on how old technology is better & more reliable while installing RH8.

Which has *nothing* to do with the problem, nor the original question. Until it's my name on the computer, it isn't my decision to make, nor anyone else. Now back to the issue, there's a possibility there's a BIOS setting that can be causing these lockups too. Have you checked for any of these Tom?
