What services do you want to proxy? I use TIS gateway software. It proxies
the usual, including telnet and X. Each thing to be proxied is totally
independent. The philosophy is do one small thing and do it well. Less
chance for error. It works great for me. I mainly use it to proxy the NNTP
service. It is also useful for unusual POP3 proxies. It also allows easy
port redirection.
