folllowing the instructions of libstdc++.

I tar-extract the libdstc++-2.95.2 tarball into /usr/src/gcc-2.95.3,
removed the gcc/libstdc++, rename gcc/libstdc++-2.95.2 to gcc/libstdc++,
and compile the gcc as usual. No libstdc++ libraries were created.

what should be the proper procedure to compile libstdc++?
I am still using the gccnotes in linusxs to compile my gcc.
