A real yooper is like anyone else. The movie is a satirical paradoy of deer camp. Yes, we have characters here, just as anywhere else. To get a perspective of the movie vs real yooper life listen to the music of "Da Yoopers". One song, "the second week of deer camp" gets national air play this time of the year. Its as related to a Yooper as Ferris Beuler is to every day high school.
