fetchmail error

I found this in the error log. can I (the receiver) resolve it? Seems that it's more like a problem with the pop3 mail server....


Dec 1 00:30:22 server fetchmail[3587]: SMTP error: 501 5.1.7 Syntax error in mailbox address "????????????**@[61.149.10.148]" (non-printable character)
