Okay, unfortunately I don't have a device on my desktop for / or any of the other mount points. It booted to KDE 3.0. When I tell it to create a new hard disk I only get a choice of floppy or cdrom. A mount command from the command line shows /dev/root is mounted as / and is rw but I can't do anything with it.
