Old curmudgeons die hard, but I find myself liking KDE more and more. It still takes way too long to start up, but I haven't had anything actually crash yet.
Somebody (or a team of somebodies) put a lot of thought into the system sounds. When you change desktops 1 is the lowest pitch, 4 is the highest pitch. When a window pops up, the cord is rising in tone; when the window is destroyed, the cord is falling in tone. X out of an app, and the sound is like a can falling into an empty trash container. I know, it's just ear candy, but it is clever. I still haven't puzzled out why kmail refuses to put a From: on my attempts to send mail. -- Collins Richey - Denver Area Athlon-XP gentoo 1.4_rc2++ system xfce4-cvs _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe/Suspend/Etc -> http://www.linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users
