Hi

Define "disk drive". That can mean floppy, hard,
CD, or tape drives.

It is a hard disk drive.

Also, what brand/model is it? Is it supported
under Linux?

It is supported by Linux. Model etc i am sorry i can't
provide , i am working remotely with this server. This
is done by somebody else and i have no information
regarding this only i heard it is a 200gb capacity of
hard disk.

Did you load the appropriate modules to support it? Did it ever
work before under Linux?

This is brand new hard disk.

How do you know its supported under Linux?

Did you mount the filesystem on the drive?

It would be nice if you answered all my questions.

filesystem at all on the media in the drive?

Yes there are other files system there . But USB drive
is the first time it is attached. Here i am giving the
present status of the server ....

--------------------------X--------------------- [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# df

This is meaningless unless you attempt to mount the drive. Have you tried that? Did you load the correct modules?
