In order to do the mounting operation, smbmnt needs to be suid root. Also, smbumount if you are using that one...

Generally suid is considered to be A Bad Thing. Is this a case where it is a safe and advisable thing to do? Or just a last ditch solution and pray that it doesn't blow up?
