I'm so pleased to be able to say "I told you so." Except, of course, that I *didn't* told you so, but would have if you'd asked me. XFCE 3 does indeed blaze over against GNOME and KDE. For my money, the lost feechurs and eye canddy are a fair trade for better performance. Just my opinion, natcherly, worth whatcha paid for it.
